Prof. Dr. Martin Neukom will talk about the algorithmical composition using computers as the last presentation in the series “Podium Interface” of the University of Applied Sciences of North-western Switzerland.
From the schedule: The talk gives an overview on the variety of possibilites on how to compose and make music using a computer. Specifically, it will be shown how algorithms that are used to describe processes in the nature can be used for sound synthesis or the development of scores. Animations and sound samples will explain this unfamiliar approach in the computer music and the resulting refreshening sounds.
We have been reminded of how intros often generate their soundtrack: Softwaresynths are not unusual in the demoscene and certainly not new to demosceners. Still, we recommend this presentation to broaden your own ideas on software generated music and possibly gain new ideas on the topic.
