“Echtzeit - Digitale Kultur” is an association according to existing Swiss law. It has the goal to aid the so called demoscene in Switzerland and trough this, to support all kinds of digital culture. We aim to bring various kind of digital art together. “Echtzeit - Digitale Kultur” offers platforms for the collaboration and boosts synergies in the digital multimedia art and culture.

Organizing the annual multimedia festival “Buenzli ” in Winterthur is one of the principal tasks of the association. This event is the interface between the demoscene and the other fields of Swiss digital culture. Beside major concentration on duties in Switzerland, “Echtzeit” works on partnerships with organizations from all over the world who have the same goals.

The demoscene is a large community of creatives who explore the potential of old and new computer hardware. Meetings of this community, so called demoparties, are of a large interest when it come to social, cultural and industrial topics. People from all over the world meet and build a highly qualified crowd. This platform of digital lifestyle is established and aided by “Echtzeit - Digitale Kultur”.

Becoming a member

Are you closely following the happenings of the demoscene? Would you like to support it, but you don't have the time to actively take part? Have you been active at some point in the past and you can imagine supporting it? Would you want to do something good for the demoscene in Switzerland and the world?

You have to fill the membership application to become a member of “Echtzeit - Digitale Kultur”. Joining is possible under the terms of the articles of association. As a member you're among the first to get the rare “Buenzli” t-shirts and of course all passive members are invited to the “Buenzli”-events as a VIP.
